Managing Director, Pulse Communications
Jacqui brings more than 13 years corporate and consumer communications experience in both Australia and the UK to Ogilvy. She is currently responsible for leading the day to day operations of Ogilvy’s brand marketing agency, Pulse Communications, building the people, culture and best practice client service offering and leads the communications for a number of our high profile clients including Netflix, IKEA, eBay, UBank and TripAdvisor.
Her key areas of expertise include; communications strategy development and planning, exceptional client service and driving innovation across brands to ensure best practice and new world creative in PR, extensive media relations including acting in the role of company spokesperson and development of strong influencer relationships, large scale brand activations, issues and crisis communications, stakeholder management and counsel, internal communications and staff engagement and financial management.
Before joining opr, Jacqui was head of public affairs and social media at Australia’s second largest airline, Virgin Australia, where she was responsible for leading internal and external communications, including acting as company spokesperson, managing all consumer public relations and leading the social media division. She also spear-headed the management of a number of major issues facing the company’s reputation, including transitioning to the airline’s new reservation and check-in system Sabre, to managing the impact of severe weather on the operation and threats to consumer competition. Jacqui was also the Managing Editor of Virgin Australia’s in-flight magazine Voyeur, managed the company’s core community partnerships and led internal communication to the 10,000 strong workforce.
Prior to joining Virgin Australia, Jacqui held the position of Corporate Affairs Manager at Optus, one of Australia’s largest telecommunications companies. She has also held senior client management positions at Hausmann Communications (Sydney, Australia), Shine Communications (London, UK) and Ketchum (London, UK), where she represented a number of high-profile, global brands and businesses, including: Sony PlayStation, Sony Pictures, Virgin Money, Virgin Active, SAB Miller, American Express, Bacardi Group, Proctor & Gamble, ghd, Royal Mail, Elizabeth Arden and lastminute.com.
